I went to San Francisco a few weeks ago. I was really happy it was so clear so I could get some shots of the bridge at night.
While I was here I got to see “True Stories” for the first time. I’m pretty surprised I had never seen it before, but I think I’m a reluctant Talking Heads fan. John Goodman is amazing in it. David Byrne spoke about the film after the screening. They had some guy on stage with him. I guess he was the curator, or mediator or something. The dude obviously had an agenda that super-ceded anything Byrne had to say. Not only would he interrupt, but he actually cleared his throat in the middle of an explanation from David Byrne.
I also saw a totally naked guy wearing red hi-tops walking down the street, strolled a hippie/hipster/art punk ghetto in Oakland, ate some amazing oysters in Tomales Bay, and watched the second half of the Super Bowl in a wacky, coke scene, dive-bar in Point Reyes. Other things happened as well.
